What is a Slide Gate:
There are 2 types of slide gates.
- V-track, where the entire gate rides on two v-track wheels across the top of the ground on an angle iron track
- Cantilever style slide gate: the entire gate is held up on a rail system and never touches the ground. This type of gate is good when installing on a road that has a steep slope.

What are the benefits of using a slide gate:
- Takes up less driveway space when fully open and closed.
- Good for circular driveways.
- Also, good when there is a minimal amount of stack-up for automobiles.
- One electric slide gate operator will operate a larger opening than a single swing gate. This will allow you to use one slide gate operator for operation where with a swing gate you would need two swing gate operators for the same opening.
